Glenn Quinlan is the first President of ECVA

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, April 27, 2007.- Mr. Glenn Quinlan is the first President of the Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association (ECVA), a new sub-zone within the structure of the NORCECA Volleyball Confederation.

The announcement was made by Mr. Mushtaque Mohammed, Vice President of NORCECA for the Caribbean during the first day of meeting of the Confederation’s Executive Committee and Board of Administration.

Mr. Quinlan, who is the President of the St. Kitts & Nevis Volleyball Association, is a member of the Board of Administration of NORCECA. His election took place on last March on the island of Antigua.

The rest of the members of the Executive Committee of the ECVA are:

Mrs. Sabina Mason, Vice President; Mr. Brian Louisy, Secretary General; Mr. Clayton Holiday, Treasurer and Mr. Duane Daniel, Member.

Also elected to preside over the different commissions were the following:

Mr. Theiry Stephen (Sports Organizing); Wilbur Harrigan (Refereeing); Winston Duncan (Coaches); Clauton Holiday (Finance & Marketing); Rupert Sorhaindo and Brian Louisy (Youth Development) and Glenn Quinlan (Beach Volleyball).

Mr. Mohammed was very thankful of the cooperation received from Quinlan, Sorhaindo and Harrigan and the role they assumed in ensuring that this zone came to fruition.
