NORCECA and Molten sign a four-year deal
SANTO DOMINGO , Dominican Republic , April 29, 2007.-
The NORCECA Volleyball Confederation signed on Saturday a
four-year deal with Molten Corporation, the Japanese manufacturer
of sporting goods.
The deal was signed by Mr. Cristobal Marte, President of NORCECA,
and Mr. Koji Matoba, the Regional Director of Molten based in USA
, in the presence of the members of Confederation’s Executive
Committee and Board of Administration.
Through this agreement, NORCECA will be receiving for the next four years
goods in volleyball and beach volleyball. The equipment will be distributed among the 35 National
Volleyball Federations affiliated to the institution.
It was announced that Molten will be the official ball for all the
volleyball and beach volleyball events organized by NORCECA.
“The signing of this contract is a major step for our
Confederation and I am sure that the relationship we are starting
today will be long and productive,” said Mr. Marte during the
ceremony. “It will benefit all our National Federations and will
contribute to the development of our sport in the whole
continent.”
“We are very proud of this partnership with NORCECA,” said Mr.
Matoba. “We are very thankful of Mr. Marte and NORCECA for giving
us the opportunity to work together in favor of volleyball and
beach volleyball in the region.”
The members of the Executive Committee and Board of Administration
in attendance during the ceremony were Alejandro Salinas,
Executive Vice President; Edgar Alvarado, Mushtaque Mohammed,
Zonal Vice Presidents; Carlos Beltran, Vice President for Beach
Volleyball and Jacques Joachim, Honorary Vice President.
Also, Marta Centeno de Sajche, General Secretary, Doug Beal, John
Blatcher, Jesus Prieto, Rupert Sorhaindo, Glenn Quinlan and Angel
Iglesias, Nelson Ramirez, Executive Director, Roosevelt Comarazamy,
Press Officer, and Maria Vicente, of Molino Deportivo, the local
representative of Molten.
