Prisilla Rivera led Murcia to victory at HM The Queen’s Cup

LAS PALMAS, Gran Canaria, February 12, 2008.- Dominican Prisilla Rivera was the top scorer for Grupo Murcia 2005, winner for second year in a row of the HM The Queen Cup of Spain.

 

Rivera totalled 36 points during the three matches won by her side in the event held at Centro Insular of Gran Canaria. Polish Malgorzata Glinka followed with 35 tallies and Brazilians Walewska Moreira and Jaqueline Carvalho contributed 32 and 30 points.

 

Grupo Murcia 2005 debuted with a 25-21, 25-15, 25-19 victory over Gran Canaria Hotel Cantur with Glinka leading the scoring with 15 points. Carvalho, Moreira and Marisa Fernandez had 12, 11 and 10 respectively and Rivera added 9.

 

In the semi final match won by score of 25-13, 25-18, 25-16 over CV Albacete, Rivera, Carvalho and Fernandez each scored 11 points while Moreira and Glinka had 6 apiece.

 

Rivera led the scoring in the final match with 16 points in the triumph over Voley Sanse of Madrid by score of 25-16, 25-15, 25-15. Moreira and Glinka had 15 and 14 respectively.
