New Legal Commission in NORCECA

 

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, February 21, 2008.- The new Legal Commission of NORCECA held its first meeting under the presidency of Dr. Giovanni Gautreaux, who pronounced the welcoming words to all the members.

 

Dr. Gautreaux of Dominican Republic was joined by Ms. Sabine Mason, Secretary of the Commission, and the members Mr. Jaime Lamboy of Puerto Rico, Mr. Isamel Acosta of Mexico and Ms. Jacqueline Jimenez of Dominican Republic.

 

During the one-day meeting, the commissioners studied the constitution of NORCECA, the incorporation of NORCECA in accordance to the Dominican Laws, the constitution of the Volleyball Pan American Union and the Contract between Molten Corporation and NORCECA.

 

It was agreed by the commissioners to schedule a new meeting in the following months in order to have the due time to analyze all the documents and to present their proposals.

 

Mr. Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, President of NORCECA, expressed its satisfaction with the installation of this new commission within the structure of the Confederation and greeted all the members.
