GRAND CAYMAN, Cayman Islands, March 29, 2009.- The Beach Volleyball Tournament in Cayman Islands, the first leg of the 2009 Norceca Beach Circuit, has been a complete success thanks to the work accomplished by the local organizers with their sponsors, along with moral and economical support of the official authorities of Cayman Islands.

Since the National Federation of Cayman Island assumed the commitment of organizing this first stage of the beach tour, the presence of the official authorities has been very effective indeed.

Executives and officers of the local government have attended the competitions during the past three days and also were on hand for the official opening ceremony last Thursday.

Among the distinguished guests during the competition are included the Honorable Kirk Tibbetts, First Leader of Government Business, Honorable Alden McLaughlin, Minister of Sports of Cayman Islands, Mr. Alfonso Wright along with Mr. Noel Williams, President of the Cayman Islands Volleyball Federation.

“The Organizing Committee has done a tremendous job and the level of attentions have been superb,” said Arnaldo Sanchez, the technical director of the Norceca Circuit. “We are very satisfied with this first event here and I am convinced that this is the start of wonderful things in this beautiful country.”
