Mr. Cristobal Marte, President of the North, Central American and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA, Mr. Masato Mizuno, President of the Mizuno Corporation

Marte represented FIVB at the IOC General Assembly 

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, September 12, 2007.- Mr. Cristobal Marte, President of the North, Central American and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA) represented the FIVB at the 119th General Assembly of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) held in Ciudad Guatemala.

Mr. Marte is the Second Executive Vice President of the Federation Internationale de Volleyball, the largest sport organization of the world with 219 National Federations affiliated.

During the meeting, Mr. Marte had the opportunity to present his salute and exchange ideas with Mr.Masato Mizuno, President of the Mizuno Corporation, which is the largest sporting-goods maker in Japan.

Mr. Mizuno and Mr. Marte discussed about the probable involvement of the sporting-goods manufacturer in the activities of NORCECA.

Mizuno will be the official supplier to the IOC on the outfit of members and staff during the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

During the meeting in Guatemala, the IOC members received a full report from representatives of the Olympic Games Beijing 2008, Vancouver 2010 and London 2012.
