The Cantonal Prosecuting Attorney indicated that, on 13 December 2004, he had directed a nonsuit in the enquiry which was initiated in December 2002 against the President of the FIVB and the managers of this sports federation based in Lausanne. The parties may appeal against this ruling before the Court of indictment within 10 days following notification.

Mario GOIJMAN, the ex-President of the Argentine Volleyball Federation and a former member of the FIVB Board of Administration, had filed a claim on 20 December 2002 against the managers of the FIVB for mismanagement, misrepresentation of commercial companies and fraudulent bookkeeping.

The investigations carried out in the context of this case, which received significant media coverage, have led to the conclusion that no reprehensible criminal conduct could be established.
